The Manufacturing Quality Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining quality control processes and systems in manufacturing operations. They work closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues, monitor process performance, and ensure products meet defined quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Control: Develop, implement, and manage quality control procedures, processes, and inspection plans to ensure products meet established quality standards.
2. Process Improvement: Continuously analyze manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement in terms of efficiency and quality. Propose and implement process enhancements.
3. Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, specifications, and regulations relevant to the industry, such as ISO standards or industry-specific certifications.
4. Defect Analysis: Investigate and analyze defects, non-conformities, and customer complaints to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
5. Statistical Analysis: Utilize statistical tools and techniques to monitor and analyze production data, identifying trends and areas of concern. Implement statistical process control (SPC) as needed.
6. Supplier Quality: Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards for incoming materials and components. Conduct supplier audits and evaluations as required.
7. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including quality manuals, procedures, work instructions, and inspection reports.
8. Training: Train manufacturing personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices to ensure a culture of quality throughout the organization.
9. Auditing: Conduct internal quality audits to assess compliance with established quality standards and regulatory requirements.
