•Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, customer and material specifications
•Working knowledge of plastic injection molding and assembly processes
•Working knowledge of use of plastic material to make complex parts
•Work independently to create new and improve existing processes
•Have Project Management skills with ability to both coordinate and act (do)
•Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (ideally English but not essential)
•Working understanding and knowledge of APQP
•Working knowledge of DFX – Design for Manufacture and Assembly experience
•Working ability to capture current state processes, assess opportunity and create demonstrated lean improvement
•Working knowledge of waste reduction and use of Six-Sigma techniques
•Detailed understanding of process variation and use of 6-Sigma tools to improve
•Working understanding of Statistical Process Control – ideally be able to use Minitab
•Knowledge of injection mould tool design and how tooling features affect the molding process
•Experience of working in collaboration with other departments to create change and improve processes
•Preferably have ability to use CADD/CAM software platforms – ideally SolidWorks
•To contribute to technical problem-solving as well as providing technical process leadership and guidance
•To contribute to the visual transformation of the workplace with the creation of team boards, visual management processes and KPI information.
•Understanding of CNC machining and automation would be beneficial
SUPERVISORY/MANAGERIAL EXPERIENCE:
•Experience of working with cross function teams to deliver clearly definable benefit and change
SPECIALIST EXPERIENCE:
•Ideally practical experience of IATF16949 automotive requirements and quality management structure.
