The Transportation Modeler should work under the Team Leader and will be responsible for carrying out transport and traffic studies, formulation of urban transport policies, developing a strategic transport network for the CoxDA area, reviewing and advising on revisions related to transportation, and analyzing transport studies and proposals from other relevant agencies. The expert will assist in the development of regional spatial strategy (transportation modeling) and in the development of preliminary plans (transportation modeling), as well as attend meetings as and when required. Joining date: 1st of July Job Location: Cox’s Bazar (Have to relocate to Cox's Bazar) Staff Month: 09 Project Description: Cox's Bazar is globally renowned for its breathtaking miles of golden sands, towering cliffs, surfing waves, and rare conch shells. The region's vibrant economic, social, and cultural activities are complemented by its beautiful mosques, colorful pagodas, and Buddhist temples, making it a magnet for both local and international visitors. This project, a collaborative effort by the Government of Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Army, and Celltron, seeks to develop a comprehensive master plan for the sustainable development of Cox's Bazar. The plan aligns with the government's vision for regional development and its commitment to enhancing national tourism infrastructure. Project Scope: The project scope entails developing a comprehensive master plan for sustainable transportation in Cox's Bazar, focusing on evaluating and enhancing existing infrastructure, mapping resources such as roads and public transit routes, and assessing their impacts on local industries and cultural heritage. The plan will prioritize the development of strategies that promote sustainable transportation modes, reduce emissions, and enhance safety.

คุณสมบัติผู้สมัคร

Should have a Master’s degree with major coursework in transportation modeling, computer science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, planning, geography or a related field.
Should have a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in transportation modeling of similar magnitude and nature.
Proficiency in English
