Job Overview:
Are you experienced in insurance claims and looking to step into a supervisory role? We are seeking a Claims Supervisor for our Travel Insurance team who will lead a team of claim examiners, ensuring that quality and productivity targets are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the travel claims team, ensuring all claims are processed accurately and within the specified service level agreements.
- Manage staff performance, including monitoring production, quality, and attendance, as well as resource allocation and staff training.
- Monitor and ensure that all claims correspondence is accurate and aligns with policy provisions, delivering the right messages to customers.
- Provide monthly reports on claim statistics and updates to both internal and external customers.
- Support the development and implementation of claims processes, including IT software applications and the launch of new products.
- Supervise and guide claim examiners, providing clarification on claims processing and approval within the authorization limit.
- Coach, instruct, and lead junior team members and coordinate with coworkers, such as nurses and underwriters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Experience in Travel Insurance or any type of insurance is an advantage.
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Office.
- Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a senior or supervisory role is a plus.
- Good leadership and motivational skills.
- Proficiency in English communication, with a TOEIC score of 600 or above preferred.
- Strong teamwork abilities.
