Summary of Function:
Specialist Data Engineer provides mentorship and guidance to junior data engineers, data engineers and senior data engineer, promoting best practices in data engineering and ensuring the growth and development of the team. Specialist Data Engineer has extensive experience in data engineering and has demonstrated leadership skills and responsible for managing an organization's data infrastructure, including databases, data warehouses, and big data technologies. This position reports to a Data Analytics & AI Manager or other higher level technical position. The incumbent may have partial or complete responsibility for a project and will have extensive contacts with users in ascertaining needs and assessments of operations.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for setting up and managing databases, data warehouses, and other storage platforms (both in the cloud and on-premise).
- Involve in all aspects of data collection, storage, analysis, and movement
- Responsible for creating and managing the flow and movement of data.
- Create data pipelines, automate tasks, and write scripts.
- Work closely with data scientists and other analytics professionals.
- To carry out task assignment according to project plans and processes.
- To accomplish the performing work assignments with good in interpersonal, writing and communication skills.
คุณสมบัติผู้สมัคร
- At least Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in e.g. computer engineering, information technology, computer science, software engineer or related.
- Proficient in programming languages like Python, Java, and SQL (with different versions of the SQL syntax, such as NoSQL, PostgreSQL, and MySQL).
- Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Advanced in data modeling techniques to execute data pipelines.
- Understanding in software development life cycle (Preferably experience of traditional methods as well as agile processes).
- At least 7+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field, with a understanding of cloud platforms and big data technologies.
- Experience in building and optimizing ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, and workflows, using tools like Apache Airflow, Apache Kafka, or AWS Glue.
