We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an SPL (Special Personal Line) Claims Handler. As an SPL Claims Handler, you will be responsible for effectively managing and processing SPL claims within the specified single payment limit.
Responsibilities:
1.Review and evaluate insurance claims submitted within the payment authority limit, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
2.Verify the validity of claims by gathering necessary information, analyzing documents, and conducting investigations, if required.
3.Assess the quantum of the claims, including but not limited to loss/damage assessment and liability evaluation.
4.Accurately document and record all claim information, ensuring proper and organized file management.
5.Liaise with claimants, policyholders, or their representatives to gather additional information, request relevant documents, and address any inquiries or concerns.
6.Collaborate with the underwriting team to review policy terms and conditions and determine the coverage applicability for the submitted claims.
7.Negotiate and settle claims within the payment authority limit by evaluating the damages, deductibles, and policy coverage.
8.Prepare and present claim settlement recommendations to the management, highlighting any potential risks or deviations from standard procedures.
9.Coordinate with external adjusters or experts, as necessary, for accurate and prompt claim assessment.
10.Monitor and track the progress of claims, ensuring timely completion and compliance with internal and external deadlines.
11.Keep updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to insurance claims handling and recommend improvements to existing processes or policies.
12.Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity and professionalism.
13.Support other team members and collaborate with cross-functional as required.
