• Overseeing a company's fleet of vehicles, ensuring their optimal utilization, maintenance and efficiency. The job typically involves scheduling maintenance, managing drivers, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and laws
• Fleet and vehicle management: Vehicle readiness - ensure that all vehicles assigned for airport transfers are clean, well maintained and meet safety standards. Anticipate the volume of tourist traffic and ensure there are enough vehicles and drivers to meet demand.
• Fleet budgeting and cost control: Managing the budget of the fleet, including fuel, repairs and operational costs. Identifying cost-saving opportunities through route optimization, efficient vehicle use, etc.
• Driver Management: Hiring, training and supervising drivers. Managing driver schedules, performance and adherence to safety protocols. Enforce a dress code for drivers to maintain a professional appearance.
• Logistics and Route planning: Optimal route planning: Plan the most efficient routes from the airport to hotels or destinations, taking into account traffic conditions, road closures, and weather forecasts to adjust route and schedules in real-time. For larger groups or multiple/ pickups /drop-offs, efficiently plan routes to minimize travel time and avoid backtracking
• Compliance: Ensuring all fleet operations comply with local regulations. Timely vehicle registration, insurance and other compliance measures
• Technology and Fleet Management software: Real me tracking - use of fleet management software or GPS to track vehicles in real-time.
• Equip Drivers with mobile apps or communications tools that allow for real-time updates and communication
• Incentive programs - Create incentive schemes to motivate drivers to adhere to the schedule
