•Primary:
oGrow revenue and relationships with existing customer base.
oGenerate leads through cold calling, networking and referrals.
oUtilize inside sales knowledge.
oQuote formal and spot bids.
oEnsure a high level of customer satisfaction- maintain close contact with all customers– including follow up on concerns or other issues.
oCommunicate effectively with customers, shippers, and receivers regarding changes in pick-up/delivery and potential service failures.
oCommunicate customer problems to management.
oExceed all standards for prospecting calls, presentations, proposals and closes.
oProvide documented activity reports of your sales efforts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
oExecute and monitor strategic and tactical goals to maximize sales, profit and to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded.
•Secondary:
oNegotiate contracts and rate agreements.
oSupport carrier reps with the coordination of transportation freight in a cost-effective manner.
oDocument issues with orders thoroughly.
oTrack/trace shipments when requested.
oProceed booking confirmation to customers just in case of emergency
