•Ensure proper asset tagging and tracking to reflect correct status and location of assets.
•Perform periodic physical counts of fixed assets to verify the accuracy of asset records.
•Calculate and record depreciation for fixed assets according to company policy and accounting standards.
•Prepare monthly depreciation journals and ensure timely and accurate posting to the general ledger.
•Reconcile fixed asset sub ledger to the general ledger on a monthly basis.
•Prepare fixed asset schedules and reports for management and external auditors.
•Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and corporate policies related to fixed assets.
•Process asset disposals, retirements, and write-offs in accordance with company policy.
•Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Procurement, IT, Operations) to gather relevant information for accurate asset records.
•Work with internal and external auditors to facilitate asset-related audits.
•Conduct ad-hoc tasks related to fixed assets.
