- Budget, measure and exceed strategic business and performance objectives.
- Champion development of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to map customers, stakeholders, end-users, trade bodies and industry associations, promoting strong personal relationships with all business influencers.
- Identify and seek to capitalize on profitable business opportunities, particularly where these may complement and increase dry port’s overall supply chain offerings.
- Accountability for customer financial relationships, which includes: billing, overdue and payment behavior.
- To ensure efficient communication between our customer base, influential stakeholders and operational colleagues. Ensure smooth planning and execution relating to contractual obligations and service delivery.
•To travel and represent in customer meetings, trade and industry briefings, conferences and external forums.
- Increase dry port market intelligence by maintaining a broad and up to date knowledge on competitor activities, market drivers and external influences on our business.
- To assume personal and team responsibility for efficient management of profitable customer accounts.
- Communicate proactively and openly in regular, formal sessions as well as through informal discussions and two way feedback.
- Participate in cross-functional, project and external teams where appropriate.
- To ensure accurate billing process and prompt collections.
- Negotiate and influence at all levels within customer organisations, third party stakeholders and the wider internal organization.
- Attend meetings and present analytical information and recommendations to management in order to influence future processes and procedures that improve performance.
