Job location (Department): Maintenance Department Reporting to: Senior Maintenance Line Manager Location: Attapeu Province, Lao PDR Period of contract: Permanent Contract Deadline of Submission: 26 FEBRUARY 2025 Starting Date: As soon as possible Job Summary: Works under the direction of senior Electrical manager / senior maintenance line manager to execute all preventive and corrective maintenance, monthly/annual outage and overhauling work activities on plant equipment’s. Responsibilities: • To perform routine, corrective, and preventive maintenance of plant equipment as per the direction of the maintenance team leader or team manager diagnoses the cause of electrical malfunction or failure of operational equipment such as, Generator, transformers, motors, relays, switches, and control and monitoring devices and takes corrective measures in collaboration with the Senior team member. • Conducting routine inspections of transmission lines tower structure, conductors and its equipment to identify and addressing potential issues, such as loose connection or damaged components for the 230kV/500kV transmission line. • As the plant's primary electrical resource, availability to respond to power production and outage or safety issues during nights and weekends. • Participating all Maintenance outage PO, MO, SO, FO On Weekdays & Weekends. • Effectively communicating significant plant and personnel issues to Team Manager & Maintenance Manager and all applicable levels of team. • Supervise and perform Power house, Substation transmission line inspections, requiring experience working at heights. • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures particularly for working at heights. • Conducting routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of electrical equipment in the hydro power generation plant and prepare all kind reports PM, CM, TM, Weekly, Monthly. • Understanding electrical scheme, logic & control drawings and troubleshooting the issues in control circuits, and manage electrical inventory, spare parts, and supplies. • Experience in replacing the fuse, insulator, LA & Conductor for the 22kV distribution line. Work Conditions: While performing the duties of this position, the employee normally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions. In high precarious places he may be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or chemicals risk and electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but very loud conditions do exist.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or another related field;
Fluent in English Language (Reading, writing and speaking);
At least 05 years plus of related experiences in HV (high voltage up to 500kV) power transmission and distribution system (substations, HV/MV/LV switchgears, power transmission towers & poles) including construction & installation inspection, maintenance and familiar working with control & communication system.
Fundamental knowledge of the electrical/electronic theory, circuit and device (generator, transformer, etc.,).
Experience/Familiarity of fundamental tools (multimeter, recorder, tools for electrical works).
Experience in performing on-site transmission line route and alignment, foundation, tower members and tower hardware inspection.
Should be able to climb and work at height of 22kV, 230kV and 500kV power lines during inspection and replacing the insulator disk, warning light tower signs and maintenance of towers.
A sound understanding of system operating regulations and HSE (health, safety & environment) requirement pertaining to the safe operation of Transmission and Distribution system.
Be able to evaluate of Hazard Risk assessment when working at high, high voltage equipment and distribution system.
Aspect Impact assessment of tower foundation from runoff or waterway and danger tree among the right-of-way.
Be able to fluently understand high voltage equipment functioning and operating even the low voltage distribution, metering system, UPS & DC, Communication and Substation SCADA System.
Strong supervisory skills with subordinates and contractors and also the ability to multi-task in a working environment (social and community impact).
Be able to use Auto CAD 2007 up to new version for modification or rectification of drawings.
Good relationship, team work and Interpersonal skills.
Computer literate. Proficient and knowledge in Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point is essential for correspondence.
