The Procurement Engineer is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services to meet project requirements.
1. Sourcing & Supplier Management
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure long-term collaboration.
2. Procurement & Cost Management
• Request, review, and analyze quotations from suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Monitor and control procurement costs to stay within project budgets.
3. Contract & Compliance Management
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
• Prepare, review, and manage contracts and purchase orders.
• Handle disputes and issues related to procurement contracts.
4. Coordination & Logistics
• Work closely with engineering, project management, and operations teams to align procurement with technical specifications.
• Coordinate material delivery schedules to avoid project delays.
Track shipments and manage logistics to ensure timely arrival of materials.
• Coordinate with couriers and freight forwarders to prepare paperwork, identify exemptions, and arrange for import or export customs clearance.
5. Quality Assurance
• Ensure purchased materials, machines, spare parts, tool & equipment, services
also manage subcontractors from local and overseas suppliers.
• Collaborate with quality control teams to address any issues with suppliers.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes.
6. Market Research & Vendor Development
• Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and emerging suppliers.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and innovative procurement strategies.
• Evaluate alternative materials and technologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
คุณสมบัติผู้สมัคร
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of contract management and legal aspects of procurement.
- Ability to analyze data and make strategic purchasing decisions.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
