Our client, a leading large-scale infrastructure construction company, is seeking an experienced Costing Engineer to join their team. This role will be responsible for estimating, analyzing, and managing the costs associated with construction projects, ensuring they are completed within budget. This includes developing accurate cost estimates, monitoring expenditures throughout the project lifecycle, identifying potential cost risks, and proposing cost-saving measures. The role involves working closely with project managers and other stakeholders to maintain financial control and optimize project profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cost Estimation
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects, encompassing labor, materials, equipment, and contingencies, based on project plans, specifications, and market data.
- Analyze project scope and identify potential cost drivers to develop precise and comprehensive cost breakdowns.
- Utilize cost estimating software to generate comprehensive and reliable cost projections.
2. Cost Control
- Monitor and track project expenditures against the approved budget, identifying any variances and areas of concern.
- Analyze cost trends and implement corrective measures to prevent potential cost overruns.
- Conduct regular reviews with project teams to evaluate budget status and identify opportunities for cost savings.
3. Reporting and Analysis
- Generate detailed and comprehensive cost reports for project stakeholders, including budget updates, cost variances, and future forecasts.
- Analyze cost data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to support informed decision-making.
4. Collaboration
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and other relevant departments to ensure accurate collection and analysis of cost data.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to obtain detailed cost breakdowns and negotiate competitive pricing.
คุณสมบัติผู้สมัคร
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of construction practices, estimating methodologies, and cost control principles.
- Proficiency in construction cost estimation and management software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in contract administration and change order management.
- Fluent in English (knowledge of Mandarin is a strong advantage).
