The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing art exhibitions, pop-ups, art fairs, and related projects. This role requires expertise in coordinating with artists, curators, and production teams, managing logistics, and ensuring high-quality execution of exhibitions and events. Additionally, the role involves working with suppliers and overseeing the production of gallery merchandise. Strong English communication skills are essential to coordinate with suppliers, and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and manage exhibitions, pop-up events, and art fairs, ensuring smooth execution.
Oversee production logistics, including artwork handling, installation, and dismantling.
Coordinate with artists, curators, and external vendors to bring projects to life.
Manage timelines, budgets, and operational workflows for exhibitions and gallery events.
Work with suppliers and production teams to develop and produce gallery merchandise.
Ensure quality control in merchandise production, from concept to final product.
Communicate effectively in English with international suppliers, and business partners.
Collaborate with the Executive Manager to support partnership initiatives and membership programs.
Maintain documentation and reports on project progress, costs, and post-event analysis.
Qualifications:
Experience in exhibition planning, event production, or project management in the art or creative industry.
Strong understanding of art production, gallery logistics, and exhibition management.
Experience coordinating with suppliers and managing merchandise production.
Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is required for international coordination.
Ability to multitask, prioritize deadlines, and problem-solve in fast-paced environments.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Passion for contemporary art and knowledge of the local and international art scene.
