Job Descriptions● Design, stage and build network infrastructure
● Migrate existing services onto newly installed infrastructure
● Work in accordance with the school’s needs and operate according to agreed
change management procedures
● Respond to tickets escalated and ensure proper documentation and timely
completion of tickets by the established Service Level Agreement (SLA)
● Assist end-users with hardware and system related requests as needed
● Liaise with network users to ensure timely resolution of faults and enquiries
● Liaise, troubleshoot and conduct testing with network vendors
● Analyze and isolate network issues, including but not limited to virus outbreaks,
network intrusion and network optimization
● Complete allocated tasks/projects/activities to agreed timelines
● Document all incidents and support requests through the IT helpdesk system
● Ensure all aspects of the network are thoroughly documented and ensure these
documents and diagrams are always up-to-date
● Ensure effective controls, process and contingency plans are in place
● Supervise and mentor campus network administration IT technicians
● Demonstrate commitment to the team and its goals, by being a willing and
effective contributor
● Work closely with the Systems Administrator on all projects delivery
● Ensure Learning Technology staff compliance with all network protocols
● Actively monitor the school network performance and security vulnerabilities
● Report all identified instances of failure to comply with IT policies, processes
and misuse of the facilities
● Be on standby for evening or weekend work in response to the needs to the
system/network being supported
● Train learning technology staff on best practices related to networking
