Job Descriptions

Software Developer (Middle-Senior) is at the core of solution delivery at Avalant. Responsible for developing, testing, and deploying high-quality high-performance software solutions. What set Software Developer apart from Developer is the more complex software design and development tasks such as complex integration, complex back end, and advanced front-end development. Senior Developer will also possess faster development time with higher productivity than standard Software Developer. Key responsibilities include planning own tasks or subordinate tasks, collaborating with team members to gather requirements and design technical solutions, producing clean, efficient, and maintainable code using best practices, troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving issues in existing software applications, participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback, and finally staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends. By effectively fulfilling these responsibilities, Senior Software Developer plays a crucial role in ensuring that software projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the needs and expectations of stakeholders.

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience as Software Developer, Programmer, or a related role.
Experience in Banking, FinTech, Insurance, High Tech, Startup, Manufacturing.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in agile/scrum teams is a plus.
Mastery of one or more programming languages, such as: General Purpose Languages: Java, Golang, Python, Web Development Languages: JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Mastery of development frameworks and tools, such as: Web Development Frameworks: React, AngularJS or Angular Backend Frameworks: Spring, Golang Database Technologies: SQL (MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL), NoSQL (MongoDB) Version Control Systems: Git Integrated Development Environments (IDEs): Eclipse, Visual Studio Code
Experience with Low Code development tools is a plus.
Strong experience in software development principles, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
Knowledge of software testing techniques and frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Selenium, K6).
Strong Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
Proficiency in database concepts and experience in writing SQL queries, Stored Procedures, PL/SQL
Strong experience with API testing tools and concepts such as RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and tools like Postman or SOAP UI.
Understanding of security testing principles and experience in security testing tools like OWASP ZAP or Burp Suite (Optional).
Keen attention to detail to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot issues effectively. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills to resolve software issues efficiently.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, sharing knowledge and supporting team goals.
