Job Descriptions
Job Summary / Objectives: - Responsible for reconciling and preparing all necessary data prior to vessel arrival. - Assist the Vessel Planning Supervisor in resolving any data discrepancies before creating the stowage plan. - Prepare and send out required reports and collect operational records upon completion. - Maximize vessel space utilization and cargo movement efficiency while considering port facilities. - Ensure vessel stability and safe stowage of cargo. Responsibilities / Duties: - Maintain effective liaison with vessel officers, shipping line central planners, and representatives to receive vessel plan profiles, discharge/load lists, and develop vessel stowage plans while resolving any stability or operational issues. - Prepare and distribute effective crane "order of work" schedules and sequences for vessel discharge and loading under the guidance of the Planning Superintendent and Shift Superintendent. - Ensure adherence to container receive "cut-off" timings, with discretion to accommodate additional customer requests that do not negatively impact terminal performance or vessel turnaround time. Encourage and participate in close teamwork with Yard Planners to ensure the provision of an effective overall terminal planning service for internal operations and customers. - Become fully conversant with the N4 system and utilize its vessel planning functions to achieve operational objectives.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor degree in related fields.
  2. Computer literacy with good keyboard skills and a basic understanding of real time information and terminal planning software applications.
  3. Effective planning, organizing, motivating and self-management skills.
  4. Ability to work under pressure and solve problems in order to achieve set performance objectives.
  5. Effective listening and customer service skills.
  6. Enthusiastic to gather new knowledge
  7. Good command of English.
  8. Able to work in shift
