Job Descriptions- Leading the Asset Control team at the distribution center (DC) to ensure the asset control process is well-equipped and effective.
- Developing and supervising a system of procedures, forms, and controls over fixed assets.
- Ensure the asset control process can effectively track assets from time to time.
- Review and record fixed asset transactions, including purchases, reclassifications, transfers, and retirements. Verify and reconcile asset balances.
- Overseeing the reconciliation process of the fixed asset registers to DC system and ERP.
- Coordinate with other departments in the process relevant to asset control, for example, new store management, distribution center, and IT.
- Coordinate and participate in periodic physical verification and reconciliation of fixed assets. Identify and investigate discrepancies between physical counts and recorded amounts. Update asset records accordingly.
- Assist in the preparation of fixed asset-related reports, including schedules, reconciliations, and financial statements. Provide necessary information for internal and external reporting requirements.
- Propose and implement process improvements, automation, or system enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
