Job Descriptions

•Contact vendors to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve possible shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems. •Attend department and vendor meetings and communicate to foster coordination and efficiency, as needed. •Make appropriate decisions that stated procurement policy allows for as a junior analyst, and use initiative before requesting review by Buyer. •Maintain supplier and pricing documents, files and records to ensure their availability and compliance with established policies. •Additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in any related field
Previous experience and familiarity with standard concepts, practice, and procedures within purchasing field preferred.
Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and the Internet required
Operational knowledge of basic office equipment: telephone, fax, printer, copier
Ability to coordinate multiple activities and projects simultaneously and prioritize work
Attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to handle time sensitive projects or orders
Strong time management, organizational and interpersonal skills
Good command spoken and written English
Ability to be self-directed and self-motivated, as well as work with a Team
