Job DescriptionsRole Proposed:
Serve as a key liaison between the factory and suppliers to ensure that both sample and bulk fabrics meet quality, quantity, and timeliness requirements. Your role is crucial in supporting the factory’s overall performance and achieving its financial targets.
Role and Responsible:
1. Efficiently perform the purchasing function for both sample and bulk materials, ensuring that all procurement processes meet organizational standards and requirements.
2. Issue sample fabric POs based on required information such as fabric content, construction, quantity, and delivery date.
3. Monitor sample fabric delivery and take proactive measures to resolve any delivery issues by coordinating with both the CS team (customer service team) and the mill,
4. Determine the bulk fabric quantity needed, taking into account the current inventory on hand.
5. Ensure the fabric item setup matches with customer order information and yard yield (YY) inM3 system matches with CS information.
6. Release fabric PO and work with mills to confirm it by sending back PI (Performa Invoice) or OC (Order confirmation) or responding via e-mail.
7. Oversee the delivery of bulk fabric, liaising with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery. Update the M3 system, take appropriate actions, and inform relevant parties of any delays
8. Regularly update the material in-house plan and communicate with the Customer Service team and planners to ensure accurate information.
9. Collaborate with the finance team for payment processing, the logistics team for shipping arrangements, the warehouse team for receiving, and Inspection / Lab team for inspecting and testing incoming fabric.
10. Work with the mill to resolve any issues related to fabric quality or quantity, ensuring that all concerns are addressed promptly.
11. Evaluate supplier performance based on delivery timeliness, fabric quality, and overall service. Document any issues for future reference and continuous improvement.
