• Ensure accurate costing of inventory by maintaining up-to-date and correct data in the system.
• Assist in periodic stock audits to ensure correct valuation.
3. Cost Control:
• Monitor and review operational costs, including transportation, storage, and promotional expenses, to ensure efficiency.
• Work with procurement and logistics teams to identify cost reduction opportunities in the supply chain.
• Ensure compliance with cost control procedures and policies.
4. Pricing & Profitability:
• Assist in determining vehicle pricing strategies based on cost, market trends, and competitor analysis.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to review pricing models and ensure profitability.
• Monitor discounting practices and their impact on profit margins.
5. Budgeting & Forecasting:
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts by providing detailed cost analysis and variance reports.
• Develop financial projections related to vehicle sales, and track actual costs against forecasted costs.
6. Data Analysis & Process Improvement:
• Utilize data analysis tools to streamline costing processes and improve accuracy.
• Identify areas for process improvements within the costing and pricing functions and work to implement new procedures.
7. Collaboration:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams such as sales, procurement, logistics, and finance to provide cost-related insights and ensure alignment with the company’s financial goals.
• Provide input on vehicle sales promotions and campaigns, considering cost implications.
