The role focuses on ensuring systems are designed for long-term supportability and minimal maintenance. This position requires strategic leadership, in-depth technical knowledge, and strong collaboration skills to align engineering efforts with supportability objectives.
Job Description:
•Lead and manage the ILS team, ensuring that all ILS disciplines, including Failure Modes Effect Analysis (FMEA), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), and Reliability Centered Maintenance Analysis (RCMA), are effectively implemented and integrated.
•Develop and oversee the execution of maintenance plans and support elements, ensuring the continued operation of systems with minimal downtime.
•Oversee life cycle cost analysis, spare parts recommendations, and maintenance task analysis for both hardware and software components.
•Collaborate closely with engineering teams to prioritize and integrate supportability engineering throughout key phases of the engineering lifecycle.
•Ensure the creation and maintenance of technical publications and the delivery of training programs to support system sustainment and usability.
•Conduct and supervise detailed systems analyses to meet performance, supportability, safety, reliability, availability, and maintainability requirements.
•Apply and manage logistics and maintenance processes, including performance-based logistics design, provisioning, depot partnering, data rights acquisition, and life cycle cost planning.
•Act as the primary liaison with Points of Contact, suppliers, and project managers to gather and analyze data for life cycle cost calculations and support strategy development.
