The Assistant HR Manager is responsible for a wide range of human resources activities, including employee relations, recruitment, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws and company policies. The role supports the People & Culture department in creating a positive work environment and ensuring smooth HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:
-Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and hiring.
-Conduct new employee orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
-Collaborate with department managers to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
-Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
-Mediate and resolve conflicts between employees or between employees and management.
-Promote a positive work environment and company culture.
-Assist in the development and implementation of performance management systems.
-Coordinate and facilitate performance appraisal processes.
-Provide guidance and support to managers on performance issues and development plans.
-Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
-Respond to employee questions regarding benefits and assist with claims and enrollment processes.
-Liaise with benefits providers and ensure compliance with regulations.
-Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations.
-Maintain and update employee records in accordance with legal requirements.
-Assist in the development and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.
-Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs.
-Facilitate or arrange for training sessions and workshops.
-Support career development and succession planning initiatives.
