Job Descriptions
- Perform day-to-day database operation, including support incident - Assess and develop backup and recovery, including test restores ensuring all databases and associated logs are being backed-up Monitor, evaluate (performance, availability and reliability) - Develop and improve stored procedures for automated monitoring and proactive intervention, preventing customer impact - Investigate and coordinate with peers/cross team to perform database root cause analysis and provide a good solution for quick win and long term - Assume ownership of database related problems; pursue problem resolution and root cause analysis - Coordinate interaction with vendors in critical database problem situations - Proactively generates relevant ideas for new and improved use of technology
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field
  2. Knowledge of relational database constructs (indexes, partitions, compression, etc.)
  3. Strong problem analysis, self-motivated, enthusiastic and resolution skill are required
  4. Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently toward assigned goals
  5. Ability to deal and handle difficult situations, including work under pressure and time constraints
  6. Ability to work oversea in a short period
