The Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations within the supply chain department, including inventory management, order processing, and logistics coordination. This role involves supervising a team of supply chain professionals, ensuring operational efficiency, and implementing processes to optimize the flow of materials and products from suppliers to customers. The Supply Chain Supervisor works closely with other departments, including procurement, production, and customer service, to ensure a seamless supply chain that meets company standards for cost-effectiveness, quality, and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Team Supervision: Manage and oversee the activities of supply chain team members, including planners, coordinators, and warehouse staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
• Production Planning: Work with the production team to create and adjust production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and capacity constraints to ensure on-time fulfillment of customer orders.
• Demand Planning: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to analyze customer demand trends, forecast future needs, and align production and inventory levels to meet the expected demand.
• Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock is maintained without overstocking, minimizing holding costs while meeting production needs.
• Order Management: Oversee the processing of orders from initiation to delivery, ensuring accuracy, and addressing any issues to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Process Improvement: Identify areas within the supply chain that can be improved, implementing processes that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize waste.
• Reporting and Data Analysis: Track and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order fulfillment rate, inventory turnover, and delivery time to assess team performance and report results to manager.
