Job DescriptionsThe Role:
Reporting to the Country Manager, Thailand with a matrix reporting to HQ finance team, you will spearhead the Finance Team in our Thailand office. In addition, you will lead and set up the financial accounting process and establish various control points for accounting aspects.
You will work in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment with a keen focus on governance, controls, and process improvements.
The Role Summary:
Responsible for the day-to-day financial control of business activities.
Perform journal entries, depreciation of fixed assets and prepare monthly financial statements.
Review postings done by subordinate in the system and maintain relevance and consistency to Group Finance standards.
Manage the month-end close process to achieve the accuracy of financial accounts and ensure deadlines are met.
Prepare statutory accounts on time and liaise with auditors to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Submit taxes with report reconciliations and perform reconciliations to those related transactions to ensure that have been performed appropriately and correctly according to the regulations.
Perform stock take (quarter end and year end).
Perform ad hoc assignments as required by reporting manager(s).
The Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA preferred.
5+ years of experience in a Finance Manager role, ideally within the commodities market.
English Proficiency in writing and speaking.
Strong knowledge and understanding of Accounting, Taxation, Financial Standard Reports, and Transfer Pricing requirements.
Possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in working with numerical data.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in MS Office.
