Job Descriptions

Designing and overseeing the implementation of occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures. Conduct regular reviews and updates of safety programs to ensure compliance with current regulations. Performing risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace. Developing strategies to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment. Overseeing the implementation of risk control measures. Developing and delivering safety training programs for employees and contractors. Promoting awareness of safety protocols and procedures across all levels of the organization. Investigating workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes. Preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions. Monitoring the implementation of corrective measures to prevent recurrence. Ensuring compliance with local, state, and national health and safety regulations. Liaising with regulatory bodies and participating in audits and inspections. Supervising junior safety officers and other safety personnel. Acting as a point of contact for safety-related matters within the organization. Collaborating with other departments to integrate safety practices into operational processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science.
Experience in the manufacturing industry (automotive preferred).
Certifications such as ISO, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
5+ years of experience in a safety officer or related role, with at least 2 years in a senior capacity.
Proven track record of implementing and managing safety programs in industrial, construction, or corporate environments.
