Job Descriptions
•To generate profitable business to directly impact positive EBIT development. •Budget, measure and exceed strategic business and performance objectives. •Champion development of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to map customers, stakeholders, end-users, trade bodies and industry associations, promoting strong personal relationships with all business influencers. •Identify and seek to capitalize on profitable business opportunities, particularly where these may complement and increase dry port’s overall supply chain offerings. •Accountability for customer financial relationships, which includes: billing, overdue and payment behavior. •To ensure efficient communication between our customer base, influential stakeholders and operational colleagues. Ensure smooth planning and execution relating to contractual obligations and service delivery. •To travel and represent in customer meetings, trade and industry briefings, conferences and external forums. •Increase dry port market intelligence by maintaining a broad and up to date knowledge on competitor activities, market drivers and external influences on our business. •To assume personal and team responsibility for efficient management of profitable customer accounts. •Communicate proactively and openly in regular, formal sessions as well as through informal discussions and two way feedback. •Direct and lead commercial team functions by committed action plan and KPIs setting. •Participate in cross-functional, project and external teams where appropriate. •Monitor and control process functions to ensure accurate billing process and prompt collections. •Negotiate and influence at all levels within customer organisations, third party stakeholders and the wider internal organization. •Develop, propose and present business plan with Director of Operations to the top management and as requested by mother/holding company.
Qualifications
  1. MBA or relevant post graduate management qualification.
  2. At least 3 years’ experience in commercial management role within supply chain / terminal / shipping related role.
  3. Able to demonstrate communication and presentation skills at Director / Senior Management level.
  4. Sound understanding of all aspects of Port Operations, support functions and developed information systems.
  5. Detailed knowledge in the use and function of the Management Information System and associated data warehouses.
  6. High level of discretion and Emotional Intelligence.
  7. Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
