Job Descriptions
1. Classroom Preparation: support daily lessons and activities. Assist in setting up and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized Montessori environment. 2. Child Support: Provide individualized support to children during activities, guiding them in using Montessori materials appropriately. Assist with transitions between activities, ensuring smooth classroom routines. Support children with caregiving tasks such as feeding, diapering, toilet training, and dressing, when necessary. 3. Observation & Assistance: Observe children during activities and report any significant behaviors, achievements, or concerns to the lead teacher. 4. Behavior Management: Support positive behavior in the classroom. 5. Collaboration with Teachers: 6. Parent Communication: Support the lead teacher in preparing updates for parents. Greet and assist parents during drop-off and pick-up times, ensuring open communication. 7. Caregiving Duties: Help with snack preparation, serving meals, and cleaning up after meals and activities. Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the classroom, including sanitizing toys and materials regularly. 8. Encouraging Independence: Encourage children to complete tasks independently while offering gentle guidance and support. 9. Cultural and Creative Activities: 10. Professional Development: Be open to learning Montessori principles and participating in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge. 11. Safety and Wellbeing: Monitor the safety and wellbeing of all children, ensuring they are always supervised. 12. Flexibility: Take on additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  1. Must be a college graduate, preferably in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field.
  2. At least 1 year of experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting.
  3. Basic knowledge of Montessori philosophy or willingness to undergo Montessori training. Previous experience in a Montessori environment is an advantage.
  4. Strong command of spoken and written English; proficiency in an additional language is a plus
  5. Personal Attributes: Nurturing, patient, and approachable personality. Genuine passion for working with young children and fostering a love of learning.
  6. High level of responsibility, reliability, and professionalism.
  7. Strong understanding of child development and ability to engage with children of varying developmental levels.
