Job Descriptions
The Purchasing Supervisor oversees the identification and evaluation of vendors, the preparation and management of purchase orders, the negotiation of terms, the coordination with departments to ensure timely delivery and budget compliance, and the maintenance of accurate procurement records, all while driving cost-saving initiatives and ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory standards. Main Responsibilities: •Develop and use metrics to evaluate vendor performance regularly •Utilize advanced communication and tracking systems to provide real-time updates to departments •Use procurement software to automate and streamline requisition and ordering processes •Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions •Implement strategies to achieve cost savings and improve purchasing efficiency •Provide regular training to the purchasing team to keep them updated on best practices and new technologies •Ensure strict adherence to ethical standards and compliance with all regulatory requirements •Develop strong relationships with key suppliers to secure favorable terms and reliable supply chains •Assist the manager in handling matters related to the procurement department
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
  2. 2-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management
  3. 1 year of managing and supervising a team
  4. Proficient in English (listening, speaking, writing, reading)
  5. Proficiency in purchasing and supply chain management software
