Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and versatile R&D and Operations Specialist to join our start-up team in Bangkok, Thailand. As part of Juiceland, a dynamic juice and smoothie bar concept, you will play a crucial role in developing new products, managing costs, sourcing quality ingredients, and ensuring product safety and quality. You will also be an integral part of our operations team, contributing to the creation of working instructions, job aids, and SOPs.
Job Description:
Research & Development (R&D):
-Develop and test new juice blends, smoothies, and beverage recipes.
-Innovate and improve existing products based on market trends and customer feedback.
-Ensure all products meet our quality standards and align with the brand identity.
Cost Management:
-Manage ingredient costs and work closely with suppliers to optimize pricing.
-Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure cost-effectiveness.
Ingredient Sourcing:
-Source high-quality, fresh ingredients that meet our standards for taste and nutrition.
-Establish and maintain relationships with local and international suppliers.
Product Trend Analysis:
-Stay updated on beverage industry trends, especially within the juice and smoothie market.
-Recommend and implement new trends into the menu offerings.
Operations Team Member:
-Assist in day-to-day shop operations, ensuring smooth service.
-Train and support staff in executing beverage recipes consistently.
Safety & Quality:
-Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene.
-Implement and monitor quality control processes across all operations.
Documentation & SOPs:
-Create and maintain detailed working instructions, job aids, and SOPs for all operational procedures.
-Train staff on SOPs to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in R&D, culinary operations, or a similar role within the beverage industry.
- Strong understanding of ingredient sourcing, cost management, and food safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment with a hands-on approach.
- Being able to communicate in English and Thai is required.
- Ability to create and document processes, including SOPs, job aids, and training materials.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a culinary or beverage-focused role, with experience in a juice or smoothie bar environment.
