Job Descriptions

- Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures related to machine repair, maintenance, and modification activities to compliance with company and other local and international safety regulations and industry best practices. - Conduct routine safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards. - Oversee the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by employees and contractors. - Conduct risk assessments for machine repair activities, identifying potential hazards and ensuring corrective actions are taken. - Ensure contractor tools and equipment are in proper conditions and meet safety requirement prior to start the work. - Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, providing reports with recommendations for preventive measures. - Coordinate and conduct safety training programs for employees, focusing on machine repair and maintenance safety. - Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure safety measures are integrated into repair processes. - Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and training programs. - Respond to emergency situations and provide first aid if necessary. - Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement within the plant.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
Certification in Occupational Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH) is preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of machinery safety standards and maintenance safety procedures.
Experience in conducting risk assessments and accident investigations.
Familiarity with workplace safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
