Job Descriptions-Operates and maintain various treatment equipment, including pumps, motors, filters, and chemical feed systems. They also perform or order maintenance and repairs as needed.
-Monitors process parameters, read meters and gauges, and record data to track the effectiveness of the treatment process.
-Collects and test wastewater samples to ensure compliance with regulations and identify any process issues.
-Adjusts the treatment process to optimize performance and ensure the plant meets regulatory standards.
-Monitors work conditions to ensure they meet safety standards and review laws and regulations related to wastewater treatment.
-Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions, identify problems, and implement corrective actions.
-Maintains accurate records of equipment maintenance, test results, and process adjustments.
-Keeps immediate superior promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so that prompt corrective action can be taken when appropriate.
-Prepares reports as requested for a more informative database for improved management decision-making and critical evaluation of work activities.
-Attends meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among other employees and promote maximum moral, productivity, and efficiency.
-Adheres to scheduled work hours; is punctual in reporting and gives ample notice to immediate superior if he/she cannot meet schedule to ensure manpower coverage.
-Performs other duties as required
-Ensures waste water treatment system and processes operate safely and effectively, monitoring treatment processes, and maintaining equipment.
