The Asia-Pacific Rural and Agricultural Credit Association (www.apraca.org) is a member-based association established under the auspices of the FAO of the UN, Central Banks, Rural Finance and Agricultural Credit Institutions in the region on October 14, 1977. APRACA is an acknowledged regional knowledge leader in rural and agricultural finance, strong in knowledge generation, capture and dissemination and in providing training and capacity building. The current membership of APRACA is with 89 institutions spread over 24 countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
APRACA together with its agencies for training and research (APRACA-CENTRAB), consultancy (A-RAFEA) and four centres of excellence is engaged closely with the international agencies, national level government line departments and with the Central Banks of the countries in the Asia-Pacific region to advocate promoting investments and credit flow to the rural and agricultural sector and support the broad objectives of the United Nations.
